The Day: The Fall Wedding in Lake Tahoe followed typical Guatemalan tradition, where family means everything! The bride, Patzy, followed the traditions to honor her heritage. Everyone, from the youngest baby to the oldest grandparent was in attendance at the wedding. The Family even had their long time Catholic Father from Guatemala marry them. A special treat for all, at this Lake Tahoe Wedding. Patzy's hair design was created by the Acqua Salon and she walked down the aisle to music by Sierra Strings.
Another tradition is that all in attendance received a gift for coming to the best destination wedding spot in the world, Lake Tahoe! The groom, Bret, also got into the act of giving gifts and he had a new Jaguar waiting for his bride. After leaving the ceremony site, St. Theresa's Catholic Church, Patzy was overwhelmed with her new car and new husband!
The couple then drove to their reception at Edgewood Tahoe, a truly wonderful place to have an outdoor wedding, Lake Tahoe style! Guests could enjoy the cool fall evening either by strolling the golf course, or beach. Music Magic kept the party going while VideoQuest Productions captured all the great dancing. The typical stunning fall sunset did not disappoint the couple or guests. Christa Hoffarth Photography captured the day and night while all the stunning flowers at the ceremony and reception were designed by Thrans Florists. A highlight of the night was cutting the artistic cake created by Sweet Sensations.
The couple took advantage of one of Tahoe's special private estates. They stayed the night at the famous Stonehenge house on the south shore of Lake Tahoe. A truly one of a kind home for a one of a kind wedding!
