The Day: The Davis Estate, a private lakefront home was the site for this beautiful summer wedding. These two medical students wanted to provide their guests with an incredible Lake Tahoe experience. What better way to do this than host an outdoor wedding in Lake Tahoe. Weddings in north lake tahoe are unique when over 200 people are hosted. The couple picked out this site from a variety of others and were not disappointed. Many lakefront estates are available for the larger and smaller weddings and provide a stunning, unforgettable backdrop guests are sure to never forget.
The ceremony took place next to the water. Cara and the bridesmaids makeup was taken care of by Pure Skin Facial and the Hair by Bella Vita. During the ceremony as the bride and groom exchanged vows, Tav had a few surprises and props. He presented items to his bride that shared their life together. A plate from the restaurant they met at. Skis to represent their love for the mountains and a stethescope to represent their future. A family friend created a floral extravaganza of various bright summer flowers, pink, yellow, orange and red were a perfect complement to the crystal blue waters of Lake Tahoe. Jeff Lamppert Photography captured these moments while Black Tie Productions did the video. A large display was set up at the party to show life photos of the couple and the RSVP cards for the wedding. The couple had their guests create pictures of what they thought their destination wedding in tahoe would be like.
The reception was held on the grounds of the estate and catered by Twin Peaks Catering the theme for each table was a beach in Lake Tahoe. Along with a floral arrangement at each table, there was sand and rocks from each of the represented beaches. As the day progressed into night the toasts rang out and so did the Tequila. The crowd started to get their dancing shoes on and even the grooms 93 year old grandmother got into the action when a crowd favorite Abba's "Dancing Queen" was played by the DJ 24KT Sound,. This North Lake Tahoe wedding will be remembered by all for years to come.
