The Day: This winter wedding was the ultimate destination wedding for Jennifer and Youri. The couple resides in Pennsylvania but had fallen in love with the Alpine area of Lake Tahoe. The couple owns a restaurant and was very busy with little time to plan. After arranging Sierra Weddings services they sent a check and said see you on 2-28-04! Knowing the budget and vision of the bride and groom these wedding planners set out to create a magical winter wedding. Lake Tahoe is known as America's year round playground and is slowly developing into one of the best destination weddings site in the world (Guess the secret's out!!)
The wedding ceremony was a traditional Catholic wedding at St. Theresa's Church. The couple glided down the aisle to the sounds of Avalanche. A beautiful bouquet was designed by Thrans flowers that accented the brides stunning gown. All the guests arrived in limousine and after the couple said "I do" were whisked off to the reception at the Riva Grill one of Tahoe's finest restaurants where you can hold a tahoe lakefront reception and comfortably fit a few hundred people. Decorated in garland and candlelight the staircase of Riva Grill gave a warm glow as the couple entered the reception. Bill McClains Mobile Dj provided the atmosphere for a rocking event, while Riva Grill provided the food, and Sweet Sensations the cake. The family stayed for a few days after this winter wedding to enjoy the Lake Tahoe area and it's skiing, nightlife and crystal blue waters.
