The Day: Most couples who get married in Lake Tahoe want to include the lake in the ceremony or reception.  For this outdoor, athletic couple the outside environment was more important than a Lakeview.  What better place to enjoy the best of Tahoe’s outdoor surroundings than Squaw Valley, home of the 1960 Winter Olympics.
The ceremony was held at the Squaw Valley Chapel a rustic, history filled site. With views of KT22 and the surrounding ski area along with soothing sounds of Avalanche the couple exchanged vows.  Gina Munda Photography captured the couple throughout the day among the meadows of the Squaw Resort.
The reception was held at Plumpjack’s one of North Shores best kept secrets.  The couple and guests shut down the facility and enjoyed cocktails around the pool surrounded by the stunning Sierra Nevada mountains.  To bring some of the outdoors inside, the reception site was enhanced with various local trees delivered by the Tahoe Tree company all that was needed was a little wildlife! With the swing band Brass Knuckles that wildlife was going as the wedding party and guests boogied down all night long. Flowers for the bride and reception were provided by A Bud and Beyond.
