The Day: Elegant, historic, and inspiring, the Thunderbird Lodge opened it's doors to one of Lake Tahoe's most magnificent weddings. Arriving by boat and limo the wedding party and guests were granted an opportunity to enjoy one of Tahoe's treasures. A mid afternoon ceremony outside on the lawn overlooking the mountains and the eastern shore of Lake Tahoe, gave just the right feeling for this one of a kind wedding. The couple followed Tahoe wedding tradition by tossing a flower bloom into the blue waters at the end of the ceremony in honor of those who could not be there.
During the cocktail hour, guests were able to enjoy the lake aboard a chartered boat. Many have experience Tahoe on land, but on the water is a special treat. Afterwards, wine flowed, music graced the air and light hor d'ouevres by D’Lish were enjoyed while the newlyweds finished with final formal portraits taken by Angie Silvy on a glorious Tahoe day. A sit down 7 course dinner was served by D’Lish in the window-lined dining room that sported mountain lake views from all angles. Guests had to find their seats by matching famous athletes with their respective sports. Rumor has it one family did better than the other! Capping off the festivities was a magnificent cake created by D’Lish.
.The traditional cakecutting and other festivities were captured by VideoQuest Productions.
