The Day: A new trend that Sierra Weddings has seen is more and more couples meeting on-line. Kelly and Tom met on Match.com, fell in love and decided to have a Lake Tahoe Wedding.
This was a second wedding for both so it was important to blend families and friends at this special occasion. Retiring in the Lake Tahoe area, the couple had fallen in love with the Thunderbird Lodge where they decided to have their wedding.  
The North Lake Tahoe Historic Estate, The Thunderbird Lodge is nestled in a granite strewn cove providing a naturalistic background. With the help of Barbara Page Interior Design, the bride added a variety of personal touches to the mansion to turn the mansion into one of the most elegant weddings the Thunderbird had ever hosted.  The couple said “I DO’ at the shores of Lake Tahoe while Sierra Strings provided the background music for guests and all.
After the ceremony, the wedding party made its way into the lodge where their enjoyed the music of Exquisite Entertainment. The cocktail reception featured a sushi chief from local restaurant Kalani’s a touch all the guests enjoyed. Elegant Affair provided a full course meal paired with exquisite wine. Cake was provided by Sweet Sensations and the flowers were designed by Thrans. The special moments were captured by Xsight photography and Videography. Hair was designed by Acqua Salon of Lake Tahoe.
